GOT HOSED BIG TIME.. What would u Do?: My rant

Just thought Id bring my rant to the board..Excuse my writing style(cuz there is none)

I brought my car to Eric to exchange the transmission in early March and he said that he had found a good low mile transmission with only 42000 miles ready install my truck. I went for it. He had my car for about week to before the transmission was installed, I was also told that the car was driven to New Jersey since that’s where the transmission was located, week later he told me something was wrong with it it wasn't shifting right and that he wanted to hold on to the car little longer I agreed and then about a week later he had the second transmission installed with unknown miles he says it's driving hundred percent. I go to pick up the car immediately when I pick it up I noticed there was a rattling underneath maybe the exhaust pipe or heat shield rattling against the body or something. I drove the car over the weekend probably putting 150 miles on it during that time the transmission was slipping and shifting roughly. I sent him an email describing all of my concerns he asked me to bring the truck back for a third time. He took it back to Jersey and then brought it back to the shop in New York where he tried to troubleshoot the problem by hooking up a computer to the car and essentially he re-flashed the computer in my car to get to shift better, but that didn't work. However, what he did by re flashing the computer was erase the tune that I had on my car since its has an aftermarket supercharger installed, now the check engine light is on because the car is running lean.
After about another week of waiting I got a call from the owner, Mike and was told that they were going to rebuild my entire transmission at no additional cost to me at a shop in Jersey called Dolphin Transmission.Good, right? After that first rebuild I was told by Eric at the transmission still wasn't right
I was then told by Eric that the transmission shop recommended that I change my catalytic converters because they were clogged and "glowing red" and “melting the bands of the transmission” I was also told by another mechanic after all of this that this is totally bogus.
I agreed to change the catalytic converters thinking that I was can get all three replaced Eric sent me a quote form a local muffler shop in jersey of $950 for them to install their aftermarket catalytic converters. Eric also sent me a quote for some devco cats that he sourced “Davico - Front List price $740 discount for you $650 - Rear List price $960 discount for you $780 + labor” Turns out that they only put on 2 cats cuz the 3rd was never there..but it was still $950
When I went to pick up the car on 4/17 almost 5 weeks since we began this ordeal He told me How he and his guys I was impressed how fast my car was . Unfortunately it's running extremely lean throwing lean codes P0171 and P0174 and the check engine light is on. Now the car has an audible knocking sound coming from the motor I know something is broken. What I find most upsetting is this dude didn’t even say anything about this noise now coming from my engine… Its LOUD . Also, worth noting is when I arrived to get the truck he, on his own changed my plugs and oil, im guessing to see if he can make the noise go away.. Bottom line, im screwed.I think I gotta sue this dude

yep. call your lawyer, get a suit filed and go to town. get damages, lost wages, stress, whatever you feel you deserve out of the deal.

hes clearly messed the motor up, and never fixed the truck.

this is a great example of why i let nobody that i dont personally know, touch my truck. even the techs at my shop i dont like working on it.

Good luck dude!
