IFS Ranger half shaft/CV joint question

I am looking for information on the IFS Ranger half shafts. Here are my questions:

What type of CV joint do the Ranger trucks run?
Can you lengthen the stock half shafts by replacing the center shaft (between the two CV joints?
If so, what diameter shaft and spline count will work?
Are the Ranger/Explorer/Explorer Sports Trac half shafts all the same?
Are the shafts interchangeable (left/right) or are they different lengths?

Any info and or pictures that you could provide would be very helpful. I am contemplating having custom upper and lower A arms manufactured and would like to increase the length of each arm by a couple of inches. Full custom 930 CV's half shafts tend to run $500.00+ each. Since I am at the end of my budget, I am trying to find an inexpensive way to lengthen the existing half shafts. Also, I have a spare set of CV shafts that came out of an Exploder Sports Trac (hence my prior question).

driver inner male splines where it goes into the diff, the passenger side inner is female.

i wanna say joint to joint their about the same to minimize torque steer.

live axle explorer and ranger ones are probably the same, not sure about the sport trac.

I am going for a sort of hybrid. My current ball joints are bad so I figured that rather than replace them with other OEM options, I would have arms made that use heims and spherical joints (for strength). Once I committed to that idea, I realized that for a similar effort, I could get more travel up front if I lengthened the arms. I am going to keep the RCD drop brackets and Bilstien coil overs for the time being, so it will not be a true long travel as the shocks will be a limiting factor and the CG will be higher than normal. I would ditch the RCD stuff but I tend to do a fair amount of rocky trails where the break over clearance is an issue.
