93 Ranger clutch help

I have a 93 Ranger w/ a 4 cylinder and 5 speed tranny. After a hard freeze (which in New Orleans is 25 degrees for 12 hours or more) I barely have a clutch. It was fine the day before and now it is almost to the floor when it engages and disengages. I put fluid in the reservoir and still the same problem. I think it is a coincidence that it starting doing this after a freeze. Does the system have to be bleed because the reservoir was empty when I filled it back up? Also what tranny is in that truck, T-45? Thanks fellas in advance

You may need to bleed the system, and if air got into the master cylinder you will have to detach that from the fire wall and get the port where the fluid enters the cylinder above where the fluid exits.

The transmission you have is an M5OD.

Two of the three times my slave went was in cold weather.....but cold up here is -10F. My guess is that they fluid gets thick when cold, maybe putting more pressure into an already leaking slave, causing it to finally blow it out.
Also found that the fluid was building up in the rubber boot and bellhousing. For the longest time I was adding fluid, but nothing on the ground...it was all hiding in the boot and housing.
