Changed axle shaft tire still wobbles

I changed my axle shaft on my 96 Ranger and my tire still wobbles. I tried rotating rims and drums with no luck. Whats going on?

Did you get a new axle shaft or a used one? Maybe the replacement is bent too. Did you install it or a garage do it? If a garage did it then take it back and tell them to fix it and not charge you. This most likely won't affect the wobble but replace the axle shaft seals and bearings while your at it, there only $40 at most auto parts stores or online.

I got a used axle shaft of the shelf for $150. I've been wondering if the replacement might be bent as well but the warp is exactly the same as the original and what would be the odds of me getting another axle shaft with the exact same amount of wobble as the original.
And I have wondered if it might be the entire axle itself but if it was bent wouldn't the axle shaft be stuck inside because it came right out with ease and the replacement went in easily aswell.
The only thing I can think is the bearing but it seems to roll smooth and there is no exessive play to it
Also when I opened up the diff cover everthing checked out okay inside

how about you have someone spin the driveshaft and watch the wheel/axle/drums carefully.

maybe get a dial indicator and set that up so you can see precisely whats happening

I got the rear axle on jacks and spin the tires in od. Don't got a dial indicator though hope there not expensive
I think what I'm going to do is ask for another axle shaft since its under warranty (purshased off the shelf for $150), and have to put in new oil seal anyway cause it's leaking.
But I was hoping to rule out a couple of things first.
1.The bearing, No exessive play and rolls smooth so hopefully okay
2.The axle, I'm assuming since the shaft comes in and out with ease that the axle in not bent or warped it looks okay from what I can see
So Am I on the right track?

150 dollars should get you a whole new 28 spline 8.8, return that shaft and go to a jy and get another whole axle.
