bumping sound on right side, rear axle

I have this annoying, loud "bang bang bang" when I hit bumps in the road. Not sure what it is. Shocks are tight, and obviously the tire/rim is tight. I have no clue what else to look at, its annoying as hell. Something is loose, just cant find it.

help me out please haha

shackles are good. the tailgate is loose, but I haven't figured out a way to test out to see if thats it.

Whatever it is, its getting louder.

i can pick up my tailgate and move it while its closed so i figure that is what is making my noise. you might want to check your spare it might be lose and causing some type of noise.

See if all 3 leaf springs are there. I'm missing half of my middle leaf spring on my passenger side and i think it could contribute to the noise, as i hear it too going over bumps at low speed.

checked all of the above actually today, so we are narrowing it down at least.

I suspect its the tailgate. I am going to open up all my windows, including cap windows and hit some pot holes/speed bumps...I'm thinking I could locate it then.
