Losing tranny fluid, but not on the floor?

First off my name is Brandon and I am obviously new here, I have an 89 ranger xlt single cab longbed 2 wheel drive with a 4 cylinder. Have had to top off the tranny fluid two times so far since I purchased this truck. Fluid is going somewhere but no puddles under truck of any kind... When I top it off it shifts perfect and runs great, when it gets low every gear turns into nuetral, I suppose what I'm asking is how to know what to fix or replace if I have no idea where the fluid is even going? Any help would be Appreciated, although none is expected, thank you all in advance, Brandon.

Check the coolant in the radiator. Does it have a brownish or redish tint to it ?

coolant looks A-ok , just as neon green as any coolant ive ever seen. i live out in the country so leaks of any kind are going to be hard to see, but i have it parked on a concrete pad right now and running or not i cannot get it to leak a drop...

What does the fluid look like that is actualy in the trans, if it is super brown or black your trans could just be burning it up. I have seen some trans befor were there so gone that they just eat fluid.

check your engine oil, if its over full then thats where your tranny fluid is going, or if when your driving it and every once in awhile there is smoking coming out the exhaust then tranny fluid is goin in the air box. if either one of those are happening check your vacumm modulator, its on the side of the tranny, if your lucky thats the problem, and its a cheap fix.

Look at the tranny's oil, is it clear red or burnt smelling brown red-ish colored? If it is, then it is burning the fluid up.
