Sounds like a wheel bearing but those are tight...
Need some advice on this one.
I have some "whomping" coming from the front at around 30-35 mph.
The noise doesn't get much louder with increased speed.
Tires are newer Wrangler RT/S.
Any complaints about excessive road noise with these tires?
Checked the front bearings for play and found none.
Tires spin smoothly but I noticed my passenger caliper is a bit tight.
Anything you can offer would be great.

Check the wear on the tires....when I bought my truck with just 15k on it they had the same tires on them. It looked like the previous owner never rotated them because they had horribly uneven wear on the front tires, and the rear tires were flat across the tread. Just run your hand over the tread and if it seems really bumpy, just rotate them and that should solve the problem.

Front tires are brand new and the previous fronts weren't chopped or anything.
The truck flies straight.
Aren't CV's known to "click" when they go bad? Not sure if it's the same as with a 4x4...
What are the chances it's the front diff?
I'll be surprised if this ends up being tire-related.

The question is who didn't complain about Wrangler RT/S tires? I absolutely hated mine. I had to rotate mine every 4k to keep them from getting noisy. And just because your wheel bearings are tight doesn't mean they can't be noisy. If you have a scored race the bearing will whine constantly but will seem tight. But most likely it's the tires. Cross rotate them and see what happens.
