transmission maybe?

a similar occurence has happened a few times before. when ive got a close gap in traffic you have to floor it. i do this and get up to about 3000 then shift. the clutch is pushed all the way to the floor but when i pull to shift into second, it doesnt catch right and(the clutch is still all the way in) the gear grinds all to hell until the revs drop a bit.

also, when i am driving normally, no high rpms, no full throttle or anything like that. just driving along and i go to up or down shift, with the clutch pushed all the way in, and you can feel the gears grind a little and its harder to get it in gear than when that doesnt happen. this mostly happens going into third when im supposed to and then downshifting into first.

all occurences the clutch was all the way in and i know this for a fact. could it be the clutch, shifter, or transmission thats giving me problems?

A bad clutch was the cause of those symptoms in my civic.

Gotta be clutch..

I've had problems where it locks me out of 1st every now and then. I'll be at a light, in neutral, the light turns green, I drop the clutch to the floor and try to move the shifter into first but can't. If I slide it back into second and then forward to first again everything works just ducky. I figure that's the trans though..
