used 8.8 in my grasp

the guy that has the leaf springs for me has an 8.8 as well. i just talked with him. get everything 2 sets of expo leafs with the 8.8 for 150. its from a 99-it has disc brakes.

heres my dilemma or where my questions come in...
the 8.8 has 3.73 gearing (mine is 4.10) and is missing an axle shaft. is it worth it? how much is it to switch out the gearing? i think a new shaft is 116 on summit.

You will be putting more in it than it is worth.

yea thats the feeling im getting as well-the welding that will have to be done to it alone pushes me away. itll need new rotors and pads probably-(maybe calipers).

You could talk him down to $100, take the leaf springs and then sell the axle for $100.

I wouldn't bother with the axle. Show up with 100 for leafs and call it a day
