Icon5 Trying to find part numbers for V313L (HELP!) or advice on axle swap

My rear axle is in dire need of wheel seals and a pinion seal. I'm having a hell of a time trying to get part numbers for this rear axle. Anyone have any leads? I've also considered getting a 31 spline explorer rear axle with discs and rebuilding it with new bearings, seals, n shafts. I've heard there are 2010/2011 Ranger axles with rear discs. Any truth to that? Just wanted to see what my best course of action would be. It's like pulling teeth trying to get ahold of many parts this truck needs. Thanks in advance. I've been searching my butt off for these parts to no avail.

Yes, the 7.5" and 8.8" axles on 2010/2011 Rangers had disc brakes

Your FX4 should have 8.8" with 31-spline.

"EVERYTHING in the Ranger 8.8 and Explorer 8.8 is the same size (carrier bearings, pinion bearings/seals, ring gear, pinion, pinion nut, ring gear bolts, top and bottom spider gears)"
Only difference was the 28 or 31 spline spider gears, so in your case no difference with explorer 8.8"

The axle shaft length is not the same as the exploder though. I am trying to find an exploded parts diagram with part numbers as my first course of action. I'd rather not get another axle and have to re-gear and transfer the torsen but it is an option still on the table.

Trying to find part numbers for V313L (HELP!) or advice on axle swap

Problem with the 10-11 ranger axles is they have traction control stuff to deal with. So your best bet would be to either swap your current axles to discs or an explorer axle.

Have you looked at just a master install or rebuild kit from Yukon or someone.

Included in this kit are carrier bearings and races, pinion bearings and races, pinion seal, complete shim kit, ring gear bolts, pinion nut, crush sleeve (if applicable), oil baffles and slingers (if applicable), Thread locking compound, marking compound with brush, and gasket.

Here's some pics out of my 2003 service manual for the "High Torque" version of the 8.8. I'm not sure how much this will help since the part numbers listed are just partial numbers, or maybe I just don't know how to read them. Maybe it will help you though.

The service manual is a good start but still doesn't have actual part numbers. I contacted Ford Parts directly today as well as a local dealer. Ford parts was stumped and tried to tell me the build sheet listed my axle as a V313K when in all reality it is a V313L. The dealer told me the K and L are the same. A veteran mechanic told me he worked on one about ten years ago and ran into this same problem...their solution, buy a whole bunch of parts and return the ones you can't use....wtf. Seriously?! This is driving me up the wall. I just want axle shafts, bearings and seals for both sides as well as a damn pinion seal. It shouldn't be this damn hard. I can't be the only person ever to wanna replace these and needed the part numbers.
