so my transmission died yesterday
So i was on my way back to work when i went to go pull into the parking lot it felt like the first gear clutches weren't catching, then i went to go back into the parking spot and i have no reverse, so i figured ---- it i'm just gonna drive it till it blows up, the trans shifts fine, except for second gear which revs very high then shifts into third. Now i was wondering what would be the cheapest way to go, i eithier wanna do a 5 speed manual swap or just buy a junkyard trans to put in it. If you guys could help me out with my problems please let me know which one would be the cheapest way to go. Also i just did the trans fluid in it a couple of weeks ago, Please help me!

Personally, I'd go with the 5 speed manual swap.
Use a T-5 trans and a cable operated clutch. Skip right over the M5OD and its problematic hydro clutch. It'll be a little more work to install a T-5, but you'll definitely save yourself from getting headaches later.
Or rebuild your auto with high end aftermarket parts, like B&M clutch/band kits and such. (if they offer the parts for your transmission)
Either way should be about the same in terms of cost. Figure around 1500, doing it yourself with the manual swap... or having the auto rebuilt by a pro, but removed and installed by yourself.
Prices may be higher or lower where you are, since I'm basing them on what I know about the costs in Michigan.
