Does anybody know of A cheaper but safe wat to go besides buying bedryder seats, they go for 699 new which is high for me?? Help! Need to pick up my girls after school and don't want to give up my regular cab ford ranger?

 

Interesting you brought this up. I'm starting a build project soon for something like this. I'm using the old seats out of my Ranger and I'm going to fab up some brackets.

Honestly paying someone to fab brackets for reupholstered seats you find at a junkyard would be less than $700

 

First off you need to check local laws about riding in the bed. Secondly I'm sure you could just modify a narrow bench seat (like a wrangler back seat) to fit in nicely. And they are a dime a dozen in junkyards.

 

BedRyder is 50 state legal. If you built one it would most likely be legal if the seatbelts are intact and it is properly bolted to the bed
