How To: AVM Hub Install Version 1
This process takes 20min+
You will need:FlatHead Screw Driver,All purpose Grease,Rubber Mallet,
First remove your center cap to access your old and unreliable vacum hubs.
And jack the truck up.
then remove your lug nuts.
Get a FLATHEAD screwdriver and insert it in each slot all the way around the hub and pry while twisting your wrist clockwise.
Remove Hub when loose
slip off and slip on the new O ring provided to you in the AVM package.
Last and final step.Greese up the old spline.Twist your manul hub in the lock posistion and Insert.(you may need a rubber mallet)
Make sure you put your lug nuts back! lol

Also, in checking out the AVM hubs here at my desk, I notice that when you turn the **** toward the "FREE" position there is some sort of spring-device inside that wants to pull the **** back toward the "LOCK" position. At the same time the **** is turning, the hub engagement splines are moving in and out quite freely. The spring-device does not offer much tension, and so it might be a consideration that whatever sort of lubrication is applied, it should not interfere with this free movement of the engagement splines. That might even be why a "lighter" lubricant such as motor oil is recommended.

^ just plastic clips, great design right?? yea no
and i wouldn't use grease if you live where its cold.
the hub wont disengage right when you unlock it.
i broke a cv shaft because of it, i also broke the hub trying to pull it off when it was cold.
....granted no one else has the issue i have/had in the front end
but where its warm/hot.. say Texas, grease was GREAT nice smooth engagement every time

i've woke up after night wheelin to find no hub on one side..
another one came apart
the new rugged ridge pos's cant take a rubber mallet tapping on it so i already broke one of those..
but whats the alternative? PVH shat?
i'm just ticked that Warns are ~100 a set and they have a lifetime warranty.. these are the same price and if i was keeping IFS i would have to buy my 3rd set
