Bed/Cab Gap

Guys just wondering why does the rangers have such a huge gap between the bed and the cab? I loosen the bolts and adjusted as much as it allows. I sthats just the way it is?

How much of a gap are you talking about? My ranger seems about the same as any other truck on the road.

Same here. Any smaller of a gap and I wouldn't like it. The gap now is just big enough to get the pressure washer in between the cab and bed to get all of the dirt/mud out.

Well the reason why rangers or basically (real) pickup trucks have that gap is to allow the the fame to flex when you load up your truck.

Kyle hit the nail on the head. I'll see if I can find a video for yall of a company testing an f150, 1500, and tundra. The tundra's bed smacks the cab over any kind of medium type bumps.

EDIT: Here it is...
