2 quick questions

ok so i went to walmart the other day to get some silverstar fog light bulbs and the number on the screen (to look up what lights fit your vehicle) gave me a completely different number than anything i saw on the shelves. anyone know what model # lights are replacements for a 03 ranger edge?

2nd question, does the dealership carry the 4x4 decals? mine's a 4x4 but it didn't come with the decals on the bed or tailgate. is there a reason or am i just SOL?

The bulb for that application is 9145, Auto Zone carries them.

The factory bulbs for the fogs are 9145 (or 9145ST in Silverstar equivalent). The Silverstar version was released fairly recently and it is not as common in stores as the headlight bulbs are.

Although the bases are not exactly the same, it is possible to substiture 65W Silverstars (9005ST) for the 45W 9145's. Many on this forum use them with no ill effects. They require a little maneuvering to get them to drop into the foglamps. After that, it is plug and play using the factory connectors.

The 4x4 decal was not factory installed on the 2003 Edge model, even if it came equipped with 4WD. I doubt that your local dealer would stock something like that but you should be able to order it.

Over the years, 4x4 decals were used on either the tailgate or bedsides of various XL and XLT models but I don't remember seeing a Ranger with them in both locations. If you want both, you may need to have the dealer order them for different years.

Another option is to order aftermarket 4x4 stickers on eBay. There are many styles and colors available.
