Rocky Road sliders?

I'm looking to pickup some sliders for the truck and came across the ones made by Rocky Road Outfitters. They look really nice and are bolt on which is nice. I found that at least 3 members on here have them. However, my buddy looked up the reviews for that company on his jeep forum and they were terrible, with all kinds of complaints. That has me a little hesitant to deal with them. I wanted to see if there was anyone else on here that has gone with them.

I had no problems dealing with rocky road. I put in my order and 2weeks later sliders were at my door. My ups guy was pissed they were so heavy but he got over it.

The sliders are great and do what they are supposed to. I may beef up the mounts some eventually but I have had no problems with using them as a jack point or dropping the truck on them.

My build thread has pics if your interested.

I just got done going through your thread not too long ago... You have a good lookin rig. I wondered about the mounts as well, they look a little weak, but its hard to tell unless you see them mounted in person I imagine.

They are plenty strong and well engineered for their intended purpose. But they are not super beef over built boat anchor strong at the mounts.

They defiantly are not going any where and protect the body perfect. The fit is also excellent.

Good to know. I'll probably go ahead and give them a try unless someone chimes in with a bad experience they had.

Let me know in a pm what they cost, and whats involved in installing them. I am way to lazy to beg shop time from my buddy and fab some up, mostly because the last mounting place the frame kicks up (infront of rear wheel) and not sure how to make an attachment there.
Only bad things ive heard from rocky road is price.
