clear 3rd brake light

i really gotta stop thinknig of stuff i want to do to my truck, before i have the money, or the time to do said things... BUT! i am wondering if anyone makes, or if anyone has seen a high mount (third eye brake light) that is 100% clear, and is NOT an aftermarket LED brake light... looking for just the lens really... the rest will be a custom insert containing what i believe to be at this point, somewhere around 80-100 led's

I've failed looking for this also, because I have 18 super highpower LEDs in mine. 80-100 would be unrealistic as with a disperser you can make less than 20 WAY brighter than stock like both my 2003 and 2004 are.

nah, i need an all clear one...

my plan is to take a piece of circuit board, like this,

Size: 46.0 KB

paint the board red, which will give it a stockish look, and basically overload it with LED's red and white, wired onto 2 circuits, mostly white... then put the completely clear cover over it, which will allow it to show mostly red, then night shade it a littlebit, just to cover the clear up a bit, to make it not look

although this might be an idea to adapt to the light...

If you know someone who plastic molds, this should be a very easy thing to make using your stock third as a mold.

why do they not make an all clear 3rd light? ghey...

i might just get some of that epoxy and pour it into a mold made of the stock one... then put the LED's in that...

They used to be clear cargo lights until the NHTSA made third brake lights mandatory.
