2010 XL Front Bumper

Hi all,

New ranger owner here.

I got a really good deal on a 2010 Ford Ranger XL because they were bought in bulk from a fleet.
I'm trying to get it to look less like a servicemans truck and customize it some.
I'm going to be putting on some bigger tires (31x10.5) with some new wheels (15 x 8) and going to do a slight body lift.
One thing I don't really like about my ranger though is the fully plastic front bumper of the XL.
I'm wonder what year bumpers would be compatible with my 2010 Ranger XL and could I swap it out for a metal bumper just from a different version of the Ranger (XLT, Sport)? Is that possible?

The ideal situation would be to get the metal paint matched version (white) but chrome would be fine too. Anything but this plain ol' black plastic.

Thanks in advance.

Also,

Would these wheels fit on my truck? They are 15x8 and 5x4.5 but they have -27mm offset as opposed to what i think is supposed to be -19mm and 3.5" backspacing as opposed to what i think is supposed to be 3.75" backspacing.

I'm not sure what these stats mean, so I'm not sure if these will fit, even though the description in the auction says they fit all ranger models.

The XLT's from 06-11 would have a chrome bumper that should bolt on. If you're wanting color matched, you would be looking for a 06-11 sport that is white. They should be a direct bolt on, but don't take my word as 100%, but I'm pretty sure.
Search around and you can find allsorts of things with other guys swapping bumpers/valences. On the rims, the factory rim backspacing is like 4" which means anything less than that will make your wheels stick farther out the sides. I would suggest at the most 3.75" backspacing since that it what you would need in the future if you got lift spindles plus it might help with possible rubbing issues.

Also, welcome to R-F!

^^i can confirm that those wheels and tires will fit. any bumper 98+ will bolt to your frame. 06+ ones are closest to your style, but the fog light shapes changed certain years.

Those rims are going to look kinda funny with that small of a tire. Your tires are going to stick out a bit and have pretty narrow tires on them. That's just my opinion, but ita your truck.

What size tire would be good for that rim?

I'll have to do a lift if I go any bigger (according to someone at a local shop I talked to, anyways)

Or should I just choose a different wheel?

Thanks for your help.

Personally, I'd do 31x10.5x15 on those rims. An extra inch shouldn't cause any rub since you're already moving the rim a half inch out from stock with the 3.5" Back
Spacing (Stock is 4" I believe)
