No you dont need any hardware but the tailgate part just screws in. Very easy to do. I picked mine up for 20 bucks off craigslist.

OE? If that is where you take the bolts off to get to the handle from the inside then Yes. Yes it should be over the rail.

yeah, OE = original equipment...I think the TG has like 10 bolts for the access cover. This is the only type of original bedliner Ive seen

Ive done 2-3 liners, all were drop in...absolutely no hardware needed except for the TG peice. But all FORD brand ones Ive seen have some sort of plastic bolts with HUGE plastic washers up on the bedsides.

I would honestly save for a spray on. With the stock drop in you lose space, it rubs the paint off and in my case it scrapes the paint off of the cab when the bed and cab get too close.

An over the rail has plastic clips that hold it in, unlike the other style which sits under the bed rails. Without these plastic clips, the liner would possibly blow out. The tailgate covers have 8 Torx head screws that hold it in.

No need for spray on, dont really have anything to haul around besides some occasional gas tank or sand bags. With a drop in I can take it off and sell it when/if I get rid of the truck.

Mine looks like that, just in a stepside bed. They were/are made by Duraliner.

Wtf? You lose space? And 50 bucks is alot different than 300 or more. For 99% of our rangers dont really need a spray in. But i will admit they are nice to have. But not for the money on my ranger

yeah, I didnt want to call him out on the losing space thing since Im a nooblet here but that is just plain out retarded to say. I might lose SOME space, but the loss would be negligable considering the savings of going to a drop in vs spray. Ive always had drop ins, cant complain about them, so Im sticking with them. This thread isnt about whats better quality or looks better. I just need to know if there's hardware required for a NON-OVER RAIL BL.

I'm talking about the one that goes over the bedsides. You lose a couple inches since it doesn't hug the bedsides. It also makes it hard to use the attachment points in the bed. Sure you can cut the hole larger but I never did.

no, no hardware required to mount the non-over-rail bedliner, other than the same torx screws that the other uses to attach the piece to the tailgate.

When I go camping and my quad is taking up most of the space in the bed those extra inches could help a lot when putting stuff into the bed.
