So Fx wanna after I looked earlier before I saw this post. I prefitted the mirrors and noticed that it seemd the original holes just need to be made bigger a little and your post verifies that.

Let me ask since I have a 01 and I also noticed the switch is different ; am I suppose to splice the new switch into the door switch . lmk thanks

Hi Martine.

I believe the link above talks about cutting and splicing your existing 'plug' for the mirrors. Transfer it over onto the new mirror and it'll be all good to go.

Yep...drilling the holes bigger and using washers on the backside, then the nut and they are secured.

I've got no pics of the drilled out doors, but I want to say it was 7/8" that I drilled the holes out to? idk.

and for power mirrors sonething aint right. so i think a another hole in both doors need to be drilled because you cant fit the mirrors on because of the power switch on them. the mirrors stop just sort of being flushed.

Yeah I read that somewhere before that you need to drill new holes to get it to fit. Not a big deal we just cant go back to our old mirrors if we change our minds later

actually i got it done by drilling another hole in the middle so that the power switch could fit through. and yes you can always go back to the original mirrors; thats where washers would come in. well idk :)
