glad to see you got it, I think just having the back ground white and the rest of the lettering chrome will look cool.

I actually tried to get mine apart today but didn't have the proper tools and didn't want to f it up so im going to wait until tomorrow when I can run into work and grab a heat gun and my mini pick tools. I am going to paint the background black instead of blue to match the center caps on my alcoas. I was going to paint it body color b/c I had an extra quart mixed when my fender was painted, But i think black will look better.

always wondered that to. i tried one day and it seems like the plastic piece you guys can take out on mine is almost a rubber or gel like. when i heat it up i can push a screw driver right through it. i duno if the years make a difference on emblems but mines an 05

but for colors i would say black letters on white background.

I did mine in red and white, it looks pretty good, and I had the same problem with the chrome not wanting to stay in there

if you dont heat it enough, the chrome wont seperate from the adhesive on the back of the plastc, and when you pry the plastic part out itll pull the chrome.

ill just have to evenly heat it this time and be more careful

^^ thanks! i am going to try and heat it from the back of the plastic, should heat more evenly and take heat better than the soft clear part. I'll post some pics when i finish it and let you know how mine works out.
