I shot my hood and header panel with it. It turned out ok. I got to sand some and shot another coat to it. The color is jet black and no clear so it would look flat.

Its cheap paint but on my truck it suits what I wanted.

The auto body shop that did my bed uses nothing but Dupli-color.
If painting a truck or part replacement yes Dupli-color is the only paint unless you want the House of Color at $600+/gal.
Even Dupli-color can be pricey, one pint of paint, E4, matched to my truck color using an electronic Camera cost $100.
My paint matched so well that no one could tell i didn’t have the whole truck repainted.

IMHO, Dupli-color is by far one of the top automotive paint out there.

BUT remember no matter what paint you use it is mostly in the prep work.

Sand, clean, sand clean and clean again !

A sure sign of poor prep work.

IF the truck is the one you want to keep for a while, consider a full repaint.
IF the shop you go to is decent they should be able to keep the side graphics (if that is your truck in the pic we are talking about).
BUT everything comes at a price, you do it you don’t get the pro job (unless you are a pro-painter).
If the shop does it then the cost is in dollars but the results are there and you have someone to fall back on if it isn’t what you expected.

DuPont, PPG, House of Color and many others supply paint, good quality paint BUT it is in the prep-work, and painting skill that makes the paint job a good one.

Luck on your choices,
ltr.

That is for sure! Make sure you take your time to get everything right before you paint it is much easier to fix something without paint falling off every time you look at it.
