Hey everyone, im thinking about buying a cap for my truck but i really cant decide if i like the way they look or not. im going back to school in the and parking in areas where it would be nice to be able to lock things in the bed. does anyone have pictures of a cap on these trucks? also are they easy to take on and off?

any input would be appreciated thanks alot!

doubtful. your adding more weight and you are getting rid of the air current that flows in the back of the truck that keeps the wind flowing over your bed, keeping the the drag down.

What brands and models are those in the pictures?

I to am thinking about getting a cap.

So far looked into ARE and Jason Caps. Have not actually seen one in person yet. And all the catalogs show fulls size trucks.

Just find one on craigslist or something. I got mine for $60 and painted it myself. Ill put pics up when I have a good one. I just finished it a couple weeks ago and haven't had time to get a good pic.

Caps with solid sides look the best IMO but the blind spots are HUGE. I went with a hard bed cover that is 4 pieces, the folding type. I love it.

I have both a Hard bed cover and a Cap. I Like the cap so much better! for function and look. The hard cover is nice though in the summer. gives it a sportier look. I'll prob sell the hard cover soon.

If you get one that needs to be painted, just do it yourself. Thats what I did:
