DOOR SWAP FROM HELL

DOOR SWAP FROM HELL
Recently purchased a 97 XLT and doing a manual to power swap discovered the PO had installed a JY DOOR. It is a manual door. The wiring harness, power mirror, power locks and speaker all went well. Plug and play with only the window swap left I posted on this forum for help with parts I would need to do the window swap. Ron D said as far as he knew the glass and lift brackets were compatible and all I would have to change is the regulator and add a switch. I ordered a power regulator from eBay for a 97 RH side. To my dismay I discovered none of the mounting holes lined up. Figuring it was lbecause the power door was probably different I started research on the problem. At this point I was unable to identify the problem. Don’t know whether the year of the door, year of the regulator or something I haven’t even thought of. Pictures are from the parts I installed after drilling a couple new mounting holes for the top right and bottom right of the regulator. I used the top left hole from the manual regulator. Everything works except the window will only go dow about 2/3 of its travel. (see picture) The lift arm hits the bottom of the rectangular center guide post. bracket (see picture). As near as I can tell by looking at Google images of other power doors my window glass, brackets, slide and track/guides appear to be the same. I’m hoping Ron D can figure this one out because I’m completely stumped. All other reply’s are welcome.

Just a pix of the side of my truck. At 3 ft the alignment issue is hardly noticable, especially if you split the difference on front/back alignment.
Pix of door mid-alignment. Notice the body line doesn’t match fender or B-pillar at back of door. If you align the top either by moving the door or fender up or down then the bottom doesn’t Aline. Move the door or fender down then then the top doesn’t align. Door or fender or both are not correct for a 97 XLT.

Pix of newly drilled regulator mounting hole locations.
Door glass at max down travel.

Silly question but the regulator arm is on the INSIDE of the slider bar, right
Looks like it but hard to tell

I have done a few conversions and holes were always pre-drilled, at least I don't remember having to drill a new hole, just drilled out rivets
Its the gear on the motor at its down limit?

If that be so then I must have the new gulator turned wrong or they sent me the wrong regulator. I never could get it to match up laying it on top of the manual regulator that come out of the truck. I just assumed that it was because one was manual and the other was power. Below is a pix of the box and the regulator part #. Maybe you could look at the fitment? At this point I think we have narrowed it down to either I have it oriented incorrectly and mounted in the wrong holes, or they sent me the wrong regulator. Do you know where in its travel up/down the window in the pix U sent me is? It looks to me to be about mid way. Am I correct?
A picture of my regulator that I sent you is in the full down position which leaves the window about 2/3 down.
Do you remember on the conversions U did what position the actuator arm was in and what orientation the mounting pad of the regulator was in and also where the window was in its travel up and down?

Reply to RonD Rdgulator Install
Then if I understand you correctly when I install it in the full up position with the regulator extended all the way in the up position then the mounting holes should aline or line up with at least 2 of the original holes. Is that what you are saying to me?
if it doesn’t align with the original holes then I must have the wrong regulator, right?

How many bolts did you put in the ones you did two or three? I’m gonna do a search for different model years and see if I come up with a different part number for those regulators based on the year of the truck. I’m not going to open that door up again until I know what the problem is or at least have some idea where to look.
