Well as of today I can finally get some HIDs, I'm going for the single beam kit from XenonEyes.com, so my biggest question is what should I go with?

a.3000K
b.4300K
c.6000K
d. 8000K

I'm not going any higher...

8000k, but its personal prefrence do u want it more blue or more white...i def would go 3000k in the headlights but thats just me

when u order ur fog lights just order a normal hid kit but for ur fog light size

 

yeah, I'm gonna do the fogs later on down the road, and IF i don't like these would someone wan buy them from me? lol

 

i love how everyone buys them based on the color, not the lumen output.

i've hid kits and don't increase the lighting but just change the color...

 

once their on, i dont think youll ever go back to stock bulbs in your future rides. at least thats what iv been told, haha

 

thats all your going to get out of almost any kit, in a factory reflector housing.

 

Well what do you suggest??? and BTW I'm not buying mine based on the color, the problem is I dont want some Nokya looking crap like some people I know, I want something clean and I'm prolly gonna go with 6000K


and for the record I'm starting to see more and move non-projector cars running HIDs stock, Acura for example has them in one of their older cars, and there not in a projector, so someone somewhere has the wrong idea... I'll make a lil list of some of that cars if anyone wants...

you dont necessarily have to have a projector housing from the factory to make the hid's work correctly....it is in the way that the lens mirrors are shaped and angled. if you actually put 2 of the same cars beside each other one with and one without the hid's you should be able to notice the difference in the housings, or so thats what i have been told....could and possibly am wrong

 

no your right, in a since along with 07sport.
heres a list of almost all vehicles with factory hid lightin, look in the housing column at how many came with them in the reflectors. not many.

after doing some investigation I could use D2R lights, these have shields to prevent a lot of glare, they are used in the cars with no projectors... make sure you ask what type your getting when you buy HIDs...

Yeah, I say go with the 4300k or the 6000k because they put out the most light... I would be saving up for a bi-xenon kit, tho...

 

someone needs to drop the ball, and do a hid retro in a ranger. a bit of money, but is should turn out nice.

check out hidplanet.com. lots of people post their work, and you can pick up a lot of info and tips. but it takes a bit of work to accomplish a nice set.
