Bug Deflector

Ok so I ordered a lund bug deflector for my 2000 ranger XLT, and there were 4 options for rangers, 93-2000 i believe had 2 options, one for XLT/EDGE and one for the others, same with the 2001-2008 had the same options. So i ordered the one for the XLT and it comes, doesnt fit the holes are about an inch and a half away..... so my question is do i get the normal one, not for edge or xlt, or did they change the hood half way through the year? should i get the 2001 for the xlt?

the holes are an inch and a half away? you have to drill your own holes in the underside of the hood, then secure the deflector with screws. which holes are you refering to?

If it fits the contours of the hood and the holes are just misaligned, drill new holes in the deflector to line up with the holes already in the hood. What ever you do DO NOT drill into your hood, it should have come with gromets, so you dont have to use screws.

funny, when i got my bug deflector from ford, they had to drill new holes into the underside of my hood to attach the deflector. it's screwed onto the truck.

hmm maybe there arnt holes on the 2001 hoods. If there are holes i would use those before drilling new ones.
