I held up a set of ’03 EDGE Flares on my Stepside, mainly because I put a step bed on my EDGE and wanted the flares to match the front, but they look like they fit OK but they will be problems.
The Lip that fits the opening has clips, got them from Ford BUT the ip on the step side is smaller than the EDGE Styleside, also, the edge of the flare that goes along the fender doesn’t have anything to attach to, something has to be done there.

That’s alI I have done so far, this project isn’t high on the “to-do” list.

Let the site know what happens, I for one will be interested.

 

I personally really like the edge flares but Im just not sure they'll fit on my year of truck? I have seen the edge flares on the 98's .ect but I have a 93. So I guess if I could fit the edge flares I think I will seeing as they are nicer then the 1993-97 ranger OEM flares.

 

My guess and I do not really know, I would think the beds didn’t change much the only thing to worry about is if they match any front flares you might have. Like me the flares were on the truck, I just wanted to balance things out.

The ’03 EDGE Flares fit my replacement Steppie Bed.
If you were closer we could trial fit them but the distance would be prohibitive.

Well I guess in a few weeks to a month when I have saved up enough Ill buy a set of edge flares and test fit them if they dont work guess Ill have to resell them and buy 1993-97 OEM flares.

 

That would suck !
No one around there has even a styleside, I don’t think it has to be an EDGE; you could match them up by eye.
Look at the side of the styleside and see if the creases and rolls are located close, maybe take a tape and check.
How about one of those Trim measuring devices with all of the fingers, hold it up, make a copy of the more curvy areas and have a go at it.
Measure the ID and opening and the same area on the flares.
Buying the EDGE Flares, unless cheap, is a good idea on one level but too bad on another.

Any Ranger Owner in B.C. Canada that can help this guy out, who has a Ranger EDGE or any styleside with, maybe with flares.

 

Im not so much worried about them fitting on the bed....I am planning to have them all around Im more or less worried about the flares in the front lining up...this may seem kinda stupid to do but by looking the fenders on a 98 and 93 there doesnt seem to be any difference.

 

I agree with you the front needs to be there.

I would take a bet that the lines of the Rangers’, that had the Steppie (flareside) type bed haven’t changed as much as we think.
The rear fenders have to be the same, so in turn the lines in the front have to be the same… just the style of the flare that changes.

Just thinking out loud here, I hope someone else will cut in and straighten us out.

 

Well at a first glance most the rangers do seem to have nearly the same body lines. I cant see there being many problems fitting them. I can just see there being problems with the widths of the fenderwells and the lip .ect

 

Wel; what I have noticed is that the lip on the Stepside fendes is not as much as a styleside.
The styleside has a build in lip for the flare attachment on the EDGE.
Std Ranger styleside bed may or may not have it.

How to correct for the lip, I am still up in the air at this time; I did notice at the top of the opening on the stepside, the lip is a little wider and could accept a hole for the std ford clip or a bolt.
You can get a clip in at both lower corners so that is three points, when I get some time I will look further.
The weather has been very good around MA over the last few days if it holds I will get a chance and check.
You too look and measure the lip of your steppie and we can see if there have been any changes.
