**NITESHADE (Redone)**

Well i finally got around to fixing my tails and my 3rd brake light. They looked pretty good when i first did them and i was very happy with them. But as time went on i noticed a few things about them i didnt like. My reverse lights had a light purple/cherry color to them when lit as well as the 3rd brake light. So heres the before picture.

Before

Well since then i have added a tow hitch and have been waiting on my insurance check to repair my bumper from my accident.
Currently

That is how it looks now.

On my scale of if its a PITA or not. it was like a 4. A 4 because i had to use 100% acetone, cotton *****, and q-tips to remove the paint.

Now that its done I am VERY happy with the results. Just thought id post the finished product for you all. Oh and another thing if you ever plan in nite shading your tail lights, Dont paint the revers lights. Not only does it look better unpainted, if you paint them the lights look funny when they are on.

Only 1 can will do both lights. With left over. BUT....word to the wise......do both tails at the same time. One coat on one and then do the next....one coat at a time so they are even. ALSO let each coat dry a little bit b4 you do the next. It looks very light b4 it dries. It gets extremely dark as it dries. i put WAY to many coats on it. i would say 3 should do you fine but its personal pref.

Not really. I actually wanted mine VERY dark. i wanted them to almost resemble the plastic covers you can use. BUT i will admit they are a tad bit darker than i would have liked!

What would you have to do to make them glossy? wet sand them? clear coat? I want to do my third brake light but, want it to be glossy.
