Im just curious if the grille detaches from the surround itself like the OEM honeycomb.

I assume it would. If its supposed to be an OEM replacement it should detach.

 

Never have but the price bothers me; nice to get a low price but FORD would get two or three times that.
Sound like a good deal if the part comes through as pictured.

 

yeah im thinking about buying it at the end of the week with the header panel.

 

So what are you thinking; turning a 99 into an 03 ?

 

yeah ive been wanting to do it for like a year now (a few ppl know this) and now idk if i still want to do it haha. i know for CERTAIN that i AM getting a powerdome hood though thats a big YES haha. I need to focus on the hood and a new rear axle because i need to save money to drive 16hrs to the dunes in michigan when June comes around lol thats more important than a front end swap

 

I like the look of the ’03, that is why I got mine.
Will you need the headlight assemblies and side markers too ?

 

Yeah. I'll need the grille/shell, header panel, headlights and corners with retainers. the bumper doesn't have to be changed so i really don't care haha. not too important for me. I can get me a set of "modded" headlights for 50 bucks. The "headlight mod" has been done to them already but i kinda want stock ones.
Idk, the modded ones look pretty good on the red trucks

I have bought that grille from that company. It comes already snapped together but does come apart. Very simple.It fits well also. Mine come with the new clips for it too.

 

The ’03 is a nice loking grille especially with the Domed Hood.

I was just looking at that Grille from CarParts and was going to mention it but no need.
