I like the newer tail lights...but I don't like how the blinker is also the break light...whats the point of having the red under the clear backup part?

The red under the reverse bulb is a reflector on the 06+.

so then there would be no way to convert that lower "reflector" part to be the blinker? i might just paint my stock ones then and make the amber colored blinker part red to imitate the newer style tail light. i really hate the tail light, brake light and blinker all the same lights...hard to tell when that person is turning you can't tell if its the brake light or there blinker. but i also don't like the amber color on my truck... so any other suggestions?

yes you can convert it to be a blinker.......you have to cut out the template for the hole that should be there to fit the light socket...

Yes.

I turned the reflector part on my drivers side tail lamp into a rear fog light. Early morning driving can be very foggy here. You've probably seen it on some MB's, BMW's, Volvo's, etc.

you could always nightshade or spray a red candy coating over the entire light...looks awsome imo, i have dome both and loved both, gives a look that you dont always see everyday.
