Third brake light?

I've figured out my third brake light leaks and water runs into the cab everytime it rains. Since I need to replace it I was think about converting it LEDs but I wasn't sure if it would ridiculous with just the third brake light being LED lights. Also which lights would you recommend?

Not ridiculous to have just the 3rd Brake Light in LEDs but that will not fit the leak.
R U tlkg a new light or just replacement bulbs.

The leaking is the gasket and I have not been able to locate one as a replacement.
If you buy a new LED Light, it will come with a gasket and your problem should be solved.

luck,

I was going to buy a whole new light so I was thinking of switching to LEDs while I was at it if they weren't to much more.

Don’t remember the price but the LED replacement was cheaper than a new OEM setup.
Also, the Cargo Lights, if you have the Housing without the cargo Lights, the harness is just behind the opening and can be added to your light, that is if you get one with cargo lights in it. All you need are the sockets and I got mine from the local Auto Parts store.

Check out my classified thread for my custom modded LED 3rd brake lights HERE.

You could always just apply some silicone caulk to the gasket area of your old 3rdBL & re-install it to seal up the leaks.
