Edge bumpers

I'm looking to get some Edge front and rear bumpers and valance for my 02. I called my local Ford dealer and they wanted close to $800 for just the two bumpers unpainted, without the valance. Anyone know of anywhere cheaper that I might find them. Thanks a lot.

I got mine from certifit.com for like 70 for the upper chrome bumper and 45 for the unpainted valance. You have to go to them but its worth it.

OK, I'll look into certifit.com. I want black front and rear bumpers and valance. I can paint it. I have chrome, and I'm not big on shiny anything. haha, but you say that I have to go to them, so they won't ship to me?

nope. they dont ship for nothing, i called them to see if i could get a freight company to stop by and pick it up they said no way but im sure if you can find a member that lives realy close to one they would pick one up and ship it to ya, but that would be an arm and a leg to ship im guessing around a $100 or not more to ship

yeah, that's a good idea. I'll have to look into finding someone. $100 isn't that bad, even after that, it's still be probably less than half what Ford wanted.

did you go somewhere and have it professionally done, and to what cost was it? I was thinking about that, but I've read threads on here about how hard it was to sand the valance down since it was textured. Any recommendations for bedlining to put on them? Thanks, It looks wicked good on your truck.

Oh and when I painted my light bar/canoe rack I used Rustoleum Hammered black paint? How do you think that would hold up?

Shane did it himself. Another member, TrePaul86 just had this textured valance sanded and smoothed down and painted to look like a Edge valance and it turned out really good, you can talk to him about the process.

Ok, cool. I'll probably just do it like Shane did, sounds easier. I'll probably do it when I put a couple of Hella 500s behind the grille. Do you think I should do the grille at the same time?

So I got the valance, rear bumper, grille, and from the lower ridge down on the truck painted black on the truck on Friday. I didn't do the chrome though because I'm not sure if I have to sand it or not. Do I, or should I just paint over it and touch it up if it chips or anything? Thanks.
