LOL. I have the 6000k HIDs in mine and its one of those mods that if I could go back I would've never bought. The light output is nice but I hate the bluish color. It feels ricerish like you said lol. I would put the stock lights back in but I hardly ever drive the ranger at night now anyways. Maybe when I'm not lazy I'll do it.

Why is this concept so hard for people to understand. If you properly aim you headlights, you won't be blinding anyone. HID's do not blind people. Improperly aimed headlights blind people. It doesn't matter what bulbs or systems you use.

I had mine properly aimed and I still had people complain about them. When you can light up the highway signs that are 20 feet in the air you have glare problems.

Aiming the lights does nothing to change the design of the reflector, which was designed to work with halogen bulbs. Hids in a reflector are dispersing a lot of light, all around. The projectors most factory hids come with direct that light to where its not burning oncoming drivers retinas.

I have seen plenty of hids properly aimed that still scatter a ton of light. It has nothing to do with the amount of light, just where it puts it.
I have never been flashed with silverstars but my heads and fogs are both aimed properly. My headlights have a very clean cutoff with no scatter.
Then again to disagree with you is pointless, because your way is the only way.

Coming from someone who is lower to the ground then pretty much everyone here...
1. Silverstars blind me...
2. HIDs(even with projectors) blind me...
3. Even fog lights blind me...
FYI...Halogens have glare as well...
So...I have HIDs...I have amazing cutoff and not a lot of glare. And this is out of the factory OEM housing on the GT.

Someone with both hids and silverstars needs to take comparison shots. Or park hid and star equipped rangers with oem headlights side by side and compare.
Aim them the same and use the same settings on the camera.
Also would be nice to see it done with wet ground as that seems to intensify the glariness.
