exhaust

so my stock muffler has turned, it was horizontal but now its just about vertical (so from this _ to this !) and im not sure if the shop didnt line it up properly when the replaced my slave cylinder last year or if i cranked it last time i went wheeling. not sure. but i want it louder and some "snap" to it when you tromp on the throttle. its 2 1/2" pipe from manifolds to tailpipe, there is a CAT on it and a muffler and i have 2 1/4" exhaust tip on it right now. was thinking of introducing the recipocating saw to just in front of the muffler, grab some 2 1/2" exhaust pipe i have added it and dumping it right in front of the right rear tire.

im not a big fan of mufflers, so i was thinking of taking off the muffler and leaving the CAT on there and see what it sounds like. i got tons of exhaust pipe so thats not a problem. what do you guys think??

gett a flowmaster or somthin. straight pipe just sounds like garbage. if your gonna just kill the tail throw on a flowy and a turn down.

What engine?

If it's a 4.0L OHV, I suggest a Flowmaster Delta Flow 40. If dumping the tailpipe all together, I'd run that muff and a turndown. It's often called 'dumping the exhaust'.

And IMO, straight piped v6's sound like garbage.

my s15 with the 2.8L V6 sounded pretty good straight pipe, and it dumped underneath the passenger's ***. here's the tip i have on it now:
