Painted Tails
Finally got around to trying out the metalcast paint on my old tail lights... while I had the light covers off, I hit them with a few coats of black fusion paint too.
The red is a little more dark maroon-ish than the old bright red, but some of the darkness came from the multiple coats it took to cover the yellow section completely.
About 5 coats of metalcast red & a couple light coats of cheap clear. They look a little milky (due to camera) but they're super glossy in person.

They're actually deep red.
A little bit of the original yellow shines through around the clear reverse lens, but the only way I could keep all the yellow out would have been to reduce the size of the reverse lens area.
