i have to wonder how much protection those would actually offer though. they look like they would just bend in and shatter the light if you backed into a tree or something. i would consider these for my truck for some protection if i knew they could handle a bump or two now and then

 

I'm sure they are a lot stronger than the tail light assembly themselves. I'm sure a bump wouldn't do muck damage to them. I wouldn't trust them with much more than that though.

 

I'm not really worried about the protection. I don't really off road much. I mainly just like the way they look.
