9005's are a lot brighter. 65 watt vs. 42 watt

Have you been running the same set, or have you replaced them a few times? I find the Silverstar 9005's don't last more then 8-10 months in my fog lights. I just assumed it was because the 9005's just don't sit right in the housing. My passenger side fog burnt out last week and my driver side just went out this week. They tent to go together as they are changed around the same time.

My pair of Silverstar 9007's lasted more then 5 years. In fact I just upgraded to the Silverstar Ultras, but I still have the others.

I'll have to try the recommended 9145's, but I like the higher wattage of the 9005's. I usually drive with just the fogs on and they are enough to light the way and provide other drivers to see me at dusk.

i had silverstar 9007 in my truck since 2003, i took them out when i went HID, and never had a problem with them either

Put some 9005's in. Other than going to HID's your not going to get any better.

9145/H10. 9005 fits, but horribly.

Yeah 9005 really doesn't feel like it fits snugly, I'm worried that mine are going to pop out on day. I had to trim one side a little bit to get it in. I would go with 9145s, if you go HIDs both have the same output anyway.
