01-03 header panels are specific to 01-03.
04+ are specific to 04+
That piece under your headlamps that's painted, is molded into the header panel on 04+ trucks. On 01-03 trucks, that painted piece under the headlamps is part of the grille. And the grille snaps into the header panel.
So, no, to run a 01-03 panel will not work with a 04+ grille.
