Rear driver's side door adjustment

I've noticed that the top of my rear driver side door is latching, but it's not holding tight like the passenger side. I've looked at the hinges and looked at the top striker, and I don't see how to adjust this. Is the latch inside the door adjustable?

Hmm.... Well, I guess I'll pop the door cover off at this point and do a through examination. Thanks!

I know this post is old, but I'm hoping some of you guys are still on here. Did anyone ever resolve this? I thought the weatherstripping on my door was bad because I could here wind, but now I'm convinced I have the same problem nukedathlonman had and my driver's side rear door is just loose.

Any help would be stellar

You can nuke it with WD40 and see if it works. From what I have seen in taking them apart, it really isnt the latch itself, it is the cable. I really recommend finding new used latches and cables & replacing them. They are held on with 3 torx bolts and you will just hav e to pop the cable out from there. Try looking at junkyards and also ebay.I am tearing down a door as we speak but I havent checked the latches that well yet.

I hadn't figured it out out a fix. I have sparyed the latches thuroghly with liquid wrench. BUT, I found if I close the door with my hand at the top of the door it latches shut properly and securely with no air leaks - so I do think the door is out of kilter. I simply continue to use and close it with my hand up high. Out side that, must say I'm really pleased with how solid and reliable my old Ranger is so far. :-)
