That kit only gives you a hid low beam. There are different type kits, the better ones move the bulb itself up and down for high beam/low beam. Those ones are called bi-xenon.

given the high beam is just a extra pair of halogens on, i bet you'll hardly notice a difference between high and low beams. may want to wire it up so you can flip the HIDs off and have halogen lows if the law tries to give you greif.

I run a $65 single beam HID kit from ebay. 8,000ks. They work great and i dont see the need for any high beam at all, if anything it'd be a pair of off-road lights that will do me some good, not that little halogen fella on those.

Just my 2cents!

A diode will help. Have the current from the high beam power hop over and give power to the low beams (hids). A diode will keep the low beams from powering the high beams when they are on.

vvme.com

Great HID's for a lot cheaper. I have had three sets in 4 years. Each set was a different car. I have yet to have a problem with those. The offer bi-xenon.

yea actually i was. i plan on putting either 3000's or 4300's in the fogs. the only reason i would go with 4300's though is because i dont run my fogs when my heads are on. i only run them when the parking lights are on so i could prob. get away with it ok.

The ones that "click" up and down to creat the hi/lo function....where the bulb itself moves....they don't last too long. 07sport's only lasted him about 6 months. I installed a set and they didn't even click up and down, even when brand new kit was installed for the first time.

The only good ones for hi/lo function are the ones which have a movable shield that moves for the hi/lo function. Those are not cheap. I'm very happy with my low beams.

Trevor linked me to a good set that I use for my fogs. "Xentec" brand. Those ballasts do not "blink" at your....they don't flicker like my german ballasts do for my headlamps. ebay is the place.

Make sure you buy from a US SELLER... XENTEC is the brand like Shane said.. Been runnin them for almost a year now with no problems. I have had problems on my $170 ballasts though... Not getting enough juice. So I'll be buying the HID relay kit... I HIGHLY recommend it. It's the easiest common fix with HID flickering and the problem with not getting enough juice.
