Hood Strut Install
Well me and my buddy decided we're tired of the prop rod on our trucks and ordered hood struts from Redline Tuning. They're on the delivery truck now and should be at my house sometime this morning. We'll be installing them saturday hopefully and will be plenty of pictures. Stay tuned

You can't open your hood but you can get it your truck with no steps? lol I need to do this too, I'd like to find some junkyard ones off some other car or truck as Justin mentioned.

step 1: pop hood.
step 2: unlatch the latch at the hood.
step 3: raise hood as high as you can with your right hand, the other hand, unpop the hood prop.
step 4: wiggle your way towards the driver side while holding the hood up and the pivoting the prop.
step 5: work your right hand to the driver side of the hood to raise the hood high enough to put hte hood prop in it's hole.
step 6: done! the hood is now up on your double lifted, 35'd truck.
Sorry...but uh...i'm 5'11", and i was tippy toed when popping open tre's hood...that's what made me get 'em.
'96+ Ford Taurus Hood Props and GMC Jimmy/Chevy Blazer(minis) have the proper '*****' to use on their lift gates if I remember correctly.
