All Sales Mfg. makes black powdercoated stainless antennas in different lengths. I can double check but I'm pretty sure mine is the 21" one and is just slightly higher than the top of the cab.

Not all Mustang ones are shorter... the one on my '94 was like 3 feet long! lol

Local company here. This antenna is 13.5" tall. Its for a mustang, so it will fit your truck.

Ive seen people make their own out of coat hangers. (im serious btw)

Do you worry about your reception? All I have heard about shorter anntenae is that the signal suffers.

Just cut the antenna. I cut mine to exactly the height of the cab so it doesnt bump on trees and i havent noticed any lack of signal. only loped off 6-8 inches. sprayed it black a bingo

Cut your antenna to the length you want. Grind down the tip & put the little ball back on so it looks right.

I like the looks of this alot, actually what I have been looking for exactly, I didn't want a billet one and I didn't want a stubby.

This will work with an 01' ranger right?

Thanks,
-Nigel

Yes, most will unscrew. I can't remember if you need to pull the little black rubber piece up first or not.
