offroad lights behind the grille mod..

alright well when i went to pick up my extended brake lines from my truck shop i spotted some offroad lights he had on the shelf sitting around and i asked him how much wanted for them and got a smokin deal on them! $20 for both and they were only used once or twice, chrome shell and a rubber rim around to protect it, and theyre 60 watt bulbs and theyre pretty friggin bright! i just took pictures now but ill get some daytime pics so u can get a better idea of what they look like.

here is a shot before installation

here are the lights

i wired it to the cigarette light plug and used stainless steel from my dad's mud pan for mixin drywall, cut it to size to hold the swith

What's your dad going to do with a "hole-y" mudpan now?

Nice job. Looks good. With the metal grill that looks fine -- I worry about heat warping or damaging the plastic grill inserts on some trucks though.

TADA!

the smaller cut was my first one, i used tin snips and was a biatch and a half cuz i was tryin to cut it close to size. then thought why not cut out a slightly larger piece and then trim it which was a heck of a lot easier.

Lights look good. If your dad asks about the mud pan, just tell him the dog ate it...

yea, my dad was telling me to put it on the bumper or mount them on the cab but then i run the risk of gettin them ripped off from where i go wheelin, i like that spot because its clean and looks really good yet fully functional.
