So I'm thinking of body lifting my truck. I've been doing a ton of research and it sounds like I have all the tools available. I haven't bought the kit yet because I wanna know more about the lift before I attempt this. I already know to spray liquid wrench on all the bolts, and I know I'm going to need a shift extender. But I was reading the instructions and it says to disconnect all the fuel injectors and spark plugs or whatever inside the engine bay. It also said to disconnect the airbag and battery. I never heard of anyone talk about this so is this necessary to do? Also anyone who's done a BL before please give me some tips and do-and-don't-do's thanks (sorry if this thread isn't in the right section)

 

Battery: yes
Spark plugs, air bags, fuel injectors: no

 

I didn't disconnect anyrhing, just the radiator mounting bolts. Everything else for me had enough slack

 

I just disconnected the battery cables. Mine were really tight but I have a bigger battery in mine.

 

So no extending brake lines or moving the radiator? I'm sure I'm gonna have to extend the gas tube I'm sure

 

I just unbolts the hardlines in the front from the frame. Everything else bent out of the way. My battery cables are really tight now though.

 

What year is your truck? If it's a similar year like mine it'll probably work like yours

Mines an 08 so I'd guarantee that I won't run into any problems since you didn't.
