Integrated Cargo Light

I have a stupid question, I just bought a 3rd brake light from ebay and I wasn't thinking about something, the light says it has an intregrated cargo light, the lights in the center are red and the lights on the outsides are clear. I bought it for my 2006 Ranger, when will the cargo light portion illuminate?

No they won't, you have to get 2 more bulbs and bases are wire them up. You can tap into the orange/green wire behind the headlight switch for power.

When I wire it to the wire behind the headlight switch, when will the lights come on?

Acutally it will be easier to just run the wire to the domelight, if you wire it to the wire behind the headlight switch it would be on all the time, I forgot that.

2004~2006

Wire the LED CHMSL to the light green that is already there for the factory CHMSL.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two choices for the cargo lamps:
Easy - comes on with dimmer wheel switch and any time a door is open
Wire to the the black/light blue of the dome light
Not too much harder - comes on only with the dimming wheel switch
Wire to the black/pink at the dimming module
The brake light part should just be plug and play, you shouldn't have to do any wiring there.
