Just Picked This Up

I just picked this up last night.

And one of the first things I put one it

Overall it's in good shape. I mainly bought it for the winter and an ocasionally useage over the summer (tailgating, so I don't have to pack everything inside the cab before we break down camp).

I hate the ugly flared part of the caps they make for our stepsides. I'd rather it just not flare out and be as wide as the cab, at the back of the cab. Thats why I want a regular bed, the beds are not only more functional, the caps look better too.

I see it now. Looks good, but it needs to be painted to match. I don't think it looks bad with the flares by the cab. I think it would look a lot worse if it didn't have them and wasn't as wide as the cab.

I think somebody that plans on leaving one on forever needs to mold it into the bed and make the front of the bed match the shap of the cap. That could look really cool, but that is a lot of body/fiberglass work.

I personally can't stand caps.Unsightly and a pain to load and unload items without crawling inside.

Acronyms for grabber orange already?? I had to think about that one till I figured it out, Let's wait till ford establishes some street credit with that color before we start usin the lingo

That might sound like jealously, and it is

Well thanks for all the compliments and non-compliments. I do plan on painting it to match, hopefully spring/summer time. And it is function over form. I was also once a non liking cap person, especially on the stepside trucks. It's actually grown on me quite fast. I was thinking about having a custom one built but that would just be too much money right now. I was going to have it come flush off the cab all the way back and on the inside of the over hang i was going to use it as a ledge/shelf for some light things.
