Rear bumper years and compatibility

Well I noticed this morning that someone must have hit my truck in the parking lot of a restaraunt I was at last night. There's a noticible dent. So anyways, I will eventually get to a pick and pull junk yard place andget one. My question is what models/years of Rangers have a bumper and mounting points the same as mine?

You sould get a color matched bumper. I think '01-'05 are the same, but I couldn't swear to anything beyond that.
What is on the left side of your tailgate?

p.s. I want your garage!

It's an FX4 emblem. And there are no stock color matched bumper for a silver truck, I'd have to have it painted...and that ain't cheap. I found an all black one on Ebay, but I'm not sure it would look very good.

They originally came on the Expedition FX4, which are pretty rare. There are a few others on the site that have them too.

ya kno, I twisted the absolute crap out of my bumper, it took about 4hrs and I was able to fix it, now ud never notice. you maybe able to pound out that dent with a small sledge hammer, place the bumper on a 2x6 with a towel between the bumped and the 2x6. and pound away. look at it this way, your planning on replacing it, so why not try to fix it first? worst comes to worst u actually have to replace it. but just think for a few hours and a couple beers, u could save yourself $90 minus the $10 for the beer.

we get this dent kit made in china from the fleamarket, and while it didnt work as well for me, cause i left my bumper on while i fiddled with it, something like that may work for u, tho ud hafta remove it first. I will say this though, a 10lb sledge did remove the bulk of the kink in the bottom of my bumper. and amazingly, it didnt damage the surface either.

Yeah, but the bumper is also crooked, the right side is now pushed in a 1/2 inch or more...

So does anyone know for sure what year bumpers will bolt right up? If I know for sure, I can widen my search and find one pretty cheap hopefully.

There is only one on Ebay, and it's a black one from an edge.

Well, in NYS its not "illegal" for a "truck" to NOT have a bumper. but cars MUST have a bumper, i dont know where i heard that from tho. so, you still may wanna try fixing it yourself.
