stainless steel diff cover

My chrome diff cover has seen better days and needs replaced. I was thinking of going up to Summit sometime this week to see what my options were.

Does anyone know of a stainless steel chrome diff cover? If not, do you think I should stick with the chrome cover or go with something different? I thought about one of the clear ones, but I'm a little worried about it turning yellow lol

I guess aluminum is my only other option.

i haven't ever seen a polished stainless one.....

IF i were you, i would get an Explorer diff cover.....but if you are instant on buying one, get one of the Trick Flow covers with the diff girdles in it....

I was actually looking at this one. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Well man, im in the same situation as you. I have the chrome ford racing chrome cover, and I love the looks of it as I have other stainless things on my truck, but I really want stainless. I came across that one day. If you get it, let me know how that works out for you and I will get one as well.

Will do.
BTW, I know a guy that does powdercoating and could get the factory one powdered for next to nothing. I'm not sure if I'd like a blue diff cover though. opinions? Should I stick with chrome or get it color matched?

bah nevermind. i was support for the rear end. I think I'll either end up with the Trick Flow onw or the Moser Enginering one

No to sound stupid here, but is the maind cap support really necessary like on the Trick Flow and Moser covers? I don;t do any 4x4'ing....really at all. So would I really need it? I understand the idea that it stiffens up the main cap area, but do I really need that?

Well, if you go with that polished one you won't have to worry about it. I think I may get one here soon before the snow flys.

So I ended up taking a little road trip to Summit this weekend. I simply couldn't talk myself into the stainless cover and ended up with the Trick Flow one. I'll snap some pictures when I get home. I think it looks really good on there.
