Thats what my truck looks like right now.

1. what did you guys use for suport when you cut the rolled edge off. I really want a clean look.

2. what did you cut it with?

The big thing is the support i don't want my bed side to flap in the wind going down the high way

Yes im going to do both sides even tho my other side looks fine

Looks like a flare would cover it. You might try a jig saw with a real fine blade or a cut off wheel on a air grinder

Cutting up the wheel wells is going to make it look terrible. The amount you have to take off it is going to leave a huge gap. I vote save up for a new bed. No point in doing it now and regretting it later.

But if you are cutting it. Use a fine tooth saz-all, or jug saw, or if you have it a grinder with a cut off wheel. If you want it to look half way decent, tape around the line where you are going to cut so the pain doesnt chip.

For support most people just re-roll the edge. Look at Beards thread for some ideas. Or you can add some supports yourself.

Why not just buy a new flair?

do you know how much a flare is first of all and second did you look at the pics the metal the flares bolt to is gone it should look find cut and it wont be a hazard to people walking past with jaged edges i ahve it rolled under right now i had to to pass inspection

Im only cutting where the stock flare was so its not going to be huge but its going to get rid of most of the rust

Clean up the hole a little bit and then find some way to get the flare back on it to cover it, then try and push those dents out a little from the back or get a couple little suction cup dent pullers from harbor freight and try and pull them out. That would IMO be the best /cheapest bet for you. Or just try and find another bed entirely if you can afford/find one.

Cutting it is going to look even worse than it already is, and its pretty damn bad right now.

Go buy a new bed and do a bed swap. Cleanest option IMO.

Yes, on my friends Mazda6. It took a little bit but it made the dent a lot better.

I vote for leaving it alone until you get a new bed. It will look worse if you try to cut it.

Yea just get part of one of the damaged ones above, cut, and weld a new piece in.
