need some info PLEASE

my son wants the smoked or black headlights for his 1998 ford ranger, I have researched and read for over an hour ! could someone please tell me where i can purchase a good quality set up that already has the HID , i dont mind the smoked or tented as long as there is better light . i have had this on numerous sports cars but cant seem to find anything high quality for the ranger.

any input would be very thankfull

There really aren't a whole lot of "high quality" aftermarket headlights for the Ranger in the first place.

Most of what I found was eBay junk or similar quality.

You could buy the housing you wanted I guess, but it seems like you'd have to buy the proper HID ballasts for it to be a true HID set up. Even then you run the risk of melting some of these eBay housings due to poor materials used to construct them and also since HID ballasts can get so hot. Many eBay lights and cheaper projectors have this problem.

If you do end up going the eBay projector route just be sure you check the seal of the actual headlight itself that seals the outside of the fixture from the inside.

The reason being is that many of them come very poorly sealed and nine-times-out-of-ten will collect condensation or moisture.
